Survey Search was borne of the frustration of one surveyor. Deeds merely provide legal descriptions. And, land surveys are not required to be recorded in the State of Texas, locating prior surveys can be difficult, if not impossible. Obtaining them can be time-consuming, cumbersome and costly. Yet surveys are required for other surveyors, homeowners, home buyers and many professionals, including title companies, real estate agents, lenders, developers, appraisers, and attorneys. There had to be a better way.

After discussing these difficulties with others, Survey Search was born. A website with easy access to past surveys would benefit both surveyors and those that need those surveys.
